How it works

Open the field editor, drag fields to reorder them, toggle visibility, add new fields with the type you need (text, select, checkbox, radio, date) and apply conditional logic so fields only appear when relevant. Custom validation keeps your data clean, and the same field definitions render on both the classic and the block checkout — a captured value lands on the order under the same meta key either way.

How mixed carts are handled

The block checkout supports a smaller set of field types than the classic checkout: textarea renders as single-line text, radio buttons render as a dropdown, and date renders as a text field validated against YYYY-MM-DD. The builder flags affected fields with a badge so degradation is never a surprise. Conditional logic based on cart total, cart contents, shipping method or payment method is only available on the classic checkout — the block checkout currently supports field-value conditions.
